WBA world light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol said that he plans to return to the ring at the end of the year, but still cannot find an opponent.

“We had a pause related to our return to the ring. But to be honest, it was planned because I wanted to take a break. My plan is to return to the ring at the end of this year. I know my team is working on this and I will be ready. Frankly, there is a lot of talk, but as I understand it, none of the boxers want to fight. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don’t think too much about who is the “A” side and who is the “B” side. I really just want to get the fights I want. Right now there are only a few big fights. I understand that I may have to fight in between to stay active and get those fights.

Being recognized as the best boxer of the year was an important achievement for my team and for me personally, but this does not mean that it definitely brought benefits to me. There are many other aspects,” Bivol told The Ring.
