Frank Martin (18-0, 12 KOs) will face Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs) in a fight for the vacant WBC lightweight belt, which previously belonged to Devin Haney, November 16th in Las Vegas. Unusually, the boxers will compete on Thursday so as not to compete with the Formula 1 weekend.
Bob Arum, Stevenson's promoter and organizer of this event, confirmed this information in an interview with Pro Boxing Fans. Haney was stripped of his title for refusing to fight Shakur.
Jared Anderson (16-0, 15 KOs), the American hope in the heavyweight division, will appear as the main event of the undercard immediately before the main fight. However, the name of Anderson's opponent is unknown at this time.
