Nine days ago, the WBC appointed a fight for the lightweight belt left vacant Devin Haney. And although these are two big names, the agreement was reached very quickly.

Recall that the undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney will hold his next fight in super lightweight. He will retain the WBA, IBF and WBO titles, but has already lost his WBC belt due to the refusal of mandatory protection from Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs).

The second fighter besides Stevenson to fight for the vacant title is Prospect Frank Martin (18-0, 12 KOs). Journalist Keith Ideck reported that the parties reached an agreement without a promotional tender. The fight will take place at Top Rank, which promotes Stevenson. It will be shown by the ESPN channel, which cooperates with Bob Arum's stable. The exact date and place of this duel should soon become known.

If Stevenson wins, he will become the world champion in his third category - after featherweight and second featherweight.
