Opetaya signs with Matchroom

IBF World Heavyweight Champion Jai Opetaya (22-0, 17 KOs) signed a contract with Matchroom Boxing. Previously, the Australian collaborated with Dan Lonergan.

In the next professional performance, Opetaya should meet with Richard Riakpo (16-0, 12 KOs), who is the official contender for the belt of the International Boxing Federation. In his last performance, the Briton won against Krzysztof Głowacki.

The tender that will choose the organizer of this fight is scheduled for Friday. Riakpo is under contract with Boxxer, which means that two of the most active British promoters in recent times will take part in the tender.
