“It remains to agree on the last, and then we will announce everything officially,” Alexander Krasyuk said in an interview with IFL TV, answering a question about the fight between Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs) for the IBF, WBA and WBO world heavyweight titles.
Krasyuk confirmed that the fight will take place on August 26 at a stadium in Wroclaw, Poland, which can accommodate more than 40,000 fans.
“This is an ideal place not only because many Ukrainians live in Poland. It is also easy to reach for British fans, the city is close to the borders with Germany and the Czech Republic, it has an airport. I am convinced that this will be a great celebration of boxing and brotherhood," Krasyuk said.
The rights to organize the Usyk-Dubois fight for three heavyweight championship belts belong to K2, which won the $8 million tender.
