Eddie Hearn confirmed the information that preliminary negotiations have begun on the organization of the fight between Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) and Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), however, he denied the information provided by Fury that Joshua allegedly received a fight contract from him a few days ago.

“We didn't get any contract, that's not true. On Wednesday, I received an email from George Warren asking if we were interested in fighting Fury in September. I replied that we had an agreed fight in December against Wilder, in August we are planning a fight with Dillian Whyte and we are not going to abandon these plans.

“If our plans don’t materialize, we would happily consider a fight with Fury, but we are not going to drop everything, because Fury, who just a few days ago said he would fight in Australia, has now changed his mind. We have a good relationship with George Warren and we would like to talk about this fight, but we have our own plans and we want to pursue Joshua's career systematically."

The British promoter also said that contracts for the December fight with Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia have not yet been signed, but he fully trusts local investors and is confident that everything will be resolved soon.
