Dubois: "I will knock out Usyk and shock the world"
"I shock the world!" - promises Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs), mandatory challenger for Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) according to the World Boxing Association. The Ukrainian is the unified IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion. After unsuccessful negotiations with Tyson Fury, Usyk is now required to make mandatory defenses, and Dubois is the first in line.
“I will knock out Usyk. I challenge him to a duel. He had never met someone like me before. Derek Chisora handled him very well, perhaps better than all his professional rivals. And after what I saw then, I'm ready for the challenge. I want to end his reign and start building my legacy,” said the almost 26-year-old Briton.
“I deserved this fight and I am 100 percent ready for it. I returned to training after an injury, which only strengthened my character. I'm first in line and I want this fight right now. I will knock him out and shock the world,” Dubois added.
