Opetaya promises to return in April or May

Jai Opetaya after sparring

Jai Opetaya (22-0, 17 KOs) confirmed the information that he returned to full-fledged training and began sparring in preparation for his next fight. The next fight for the Australian should be a mandatory defense ...

“All my injuries are over. I no longer have problems with my jaw and shoulder. I'm ready to get back in the ring and show that I'm number one in cruiserweight. There are many opponents that I would like to face, but first I have to deal with my obligatory opponent from Poland. I think our fight will take place in late April or early May. This should clear up soon,” Opetaya said.

A boxer from Australia won the belt of the International Boxing Federation in July last year and has not fought a single fight since. There have been recent rumors of a possible stripping of Opetai's title or a fight for an interim title, but the 27-year-old Aussie appears to be on the mend and ready for another professional fight.
