Oscar De La Hoya announced on Tuesday that Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) received a contract to fight with Gervonta Davis (23-0, 19 KOs). A few days ago, Garcia's promoter said that if the contract for the fight, scheduled for April 15, is not signed in the near future, the 24-year-old boxer will start looking for a new opponent.
The Davis team quickly responded to these words and sent a contract, which should be signed soon. The fight will take place in the contractual limit up to 136 pounds.
Garcia last fought in July, and the clash with Davis will be his biggest test in the professional ring. Davis last fought two weeks ago, knocking out Hector Luis Garcia.
