At the turn of February and March, a fight for the vacant WBC belt in the bridger weight should take place between Alen Babich (11-0, 10 KOs) and Lukash Ruzhansky (14-0, 13 KOs). The Croatian "Savage" in an interview with Rafal Mandes from "Super Express" said that he was not averse to boxing for the championship trophy on the opponent's territory.

“As far as I know, negotiations are underway, but to be honest, I would like to fight in Poland, it would be an honor for me! I have nothing against this. My boxing home is the UK, but I would like to go to Poland. In any case, sooner or later, but I will fight there. This is my plan. As for the exact date, I would like to know it myself. I hope that at the latest in March we will cross our gloves," said Babich.

The WBC has given the teams of Ruzhansky and Babich until January 31 to determine who will organize the fight for the title. If the parties fail to reach an agreement, a tender for promotional bids will be held. Representatives of Babić from Matchroom Boxing are planning to fight in London on February 25, while the Pole's KnockOut Promotions team is betting on Rzeszow and the March 18 deadline.
