Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs) will take a break from boxing for several months due to a cruciate ligament injury. This was announced by the coach of the "regular" WBA heavyweight champion Shane McGuigan. The Briton was injured in the December fight with Kevin Lerena.

Dubois was recently appointed by the WBA as a contender for the fight with champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), but it looks like the Ukrainian will fight Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) in his next fight. The unification fight for all four heavyweight titles is tentatively scheduled for February-March.
