Chris Billam-Smith (17-1, 12 KOs) would like to fight the IBF cruiserweight champion Jaem Opetai (22-0, 17 KOs) in his next professional fight. The British team would like to hold such a match in the summer at the stadium in Bournemouth.
“Opetaya is now number one in this weight category. It's time for me to take his place," Smith said.
“As far as we know, Opetaya also wants this fight, and Chris also wants to test himself. He will definitely fight for the championship belt at the stadium. We just don't know yet what version it will be," added Ben Shalom, the Brit's promoter.
This year, Billam-Smith had three victorious fights. On Saturday, the Englishman knocked out Armend Jojay in the fifth round.
