Noel Gevor named mandatory challenger for Macabu

Noel Gevor (26-2, 11 KOs) was named the official contender for the WBC cruiserweight title. The 32-year-old athlete recently signed a contract with Don King.

The representative of Germany suffered two defeats in the professional ring at the hands of Krzysztof Wlodarczyk and Mairis Briedis. In the last performance, Gevor defeated Yuri Kalenga, winning the WBC silver belt in the weight category up to 90.7 kg.

The World Boxing Council cruiserweight champion is Ilunga Makabu, who was given the right to voluntarily defend his belt before having to cross gloves with Gevor. Makabu is also on contract with Don King.
