“We are in a race against time, but both sides are working and no one is looking for a way to block this idea. Yesterday we had a really productive meeting, at which a lot was decided. In principle, we cannot say anything new yet. We received a contract that was not perfect, but together we improved it and we are in a better situation now than a few days ago,” said the head of Matchroom Boxing.
“We still do not have an agreement with our TV partners. We still have a long way to go, but everyone is working to make this fight happen this year. Joshua will definitely fight in December and we hope Fury will be his opponent,” Hearn added.
The Joshua-Fury fight could take place on December 3 in Cardiff. The evening of boxing in the UK and the US will be shown on a pay-per-view.
