Bridges will defend his title on September 24

September 24 at the boxing evening in Nottingham Ebany Bridges (8-1, 3 KOs) will defend her IBF bantamweight title. The next opponent of the 35-year-old boxer will be Shannon O'Connell (23-6-1, 11 KOs).

Bridges has been the owner of the championship belt of the International Boxing Federation since March. O'Connell, whose last fight took place in June, is the official contender for the IBF title.

The main event of the September evening will be the fight between WBA featherweight champion Lee Wood, who may face Mauricio Lara or Leo Santa Cruz.
