Spong to perform at Usyk-Joshua Gala

Tyrone Spong (14-0, 13 KOs) will fight his next professional fight on August 20 at a boxing evening in Saudi Arabia. It is not yet known who will be the opponent of the boxer from the Netherlands.

A few months ago, Spong was scheduled to fight former world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. The Dutchman also had a contract fight with Oleksandr Usyk in the past, but he was convicted of using illegal drugs.

The main event of the August evening will be a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk for three heavyweight championship belts. Boxing fans will also see an IBF heavyweight eliminator between Filip Hrgovic and Zhang Zhilei and a WBC light heavyweight eliminator between Callum Smith and Mathieu Boderlik.
