In a spectacular bout for the interim WBC super middleweight title, undefeated Sebastian Fundora (19-0-1, 13 KOs) scored an impressive ninth round TKO victory over Erickson Lubin (24-2, 17 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the Arena of the Virgin Hotel Theater in Las Vegas. Fundora was able to knock down Lubin in the second round, but he himself was on the floor in the seventh round. Lubin's corner stopped the fight after the ninth round. At the time the fight was stopped, Lubin was leading on all two scorecards 85-84, the third had a tie 85-85.

“I think that was probably my best performance,” Fundora said after the fight. - It was a fight back and forth. He did take his hammer into the ring, but I decided to bring my drill. The uppercut went like no other punch. Uppercut is my lucky punch. I'm in Vegas so I'm a little lucky and this is my lucky hit. He came very often. Lefty. Right punch. Doesn't matter. Once I find the target, I know the job is done."
