Haney defeats Diaz, defends WBC title

WBC Lightweight Champion Devin Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) defeated Joseph Diaz (32-2-1, 15 KOs) by unanimous decision in the main event of the evening at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Thanks to the advantage in speed and size, Haney won the first rounds. Diaz had a good fourth round and after that he had his moments, but overall, Haney was in control. The scores were: twice 117-111 and 116-112.
