Baumgardner sensationally stops Harper

Alicia Baumgardner (11-1, 7 KOs) won the WBC super featherweight title after stopping previously undefeated champion Terri Harper (11-1-1, 6 KOs) in one of the main undercard events of the Galahad vs Martinez event in Sheffield, England.

Baumgardner controlled the fight and in the fourth round got the referee stoppage after she was able to hurt Harper, who froze in place and was clearly unable to continue the fight. Before the fight, Harper was 4-to-1 favorite. Promoter Eddie Hearn said there would be a rematch so viewers can look forward to seeing the pair in the ring again.
