Hunter: "It wasn't the best version of Anthony Joshua"

Michael Hunter shares the opinion that the reason for Anthony Joshua's (24-2, 22 KOs) defeat at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) was AJ's poorly chosen fight tactics.

"It worked out as expected," the American told Sky Sports. "Joshua did what I said before the fight. That fight plan is his, or his coaches', and I wouldn't blame it on him. Getting in the ring and trying to box with a great boxing technique wasn't the best choice, but I think Joshua could be better in the next fight."

"I think I could show him something new. In my opinion, he doesn't really understand the laws of boxing. He knows the rules, but he doesn't know how to use them. To understand this, you can take the example of Andre Ward, who was not the most talented, but was very good at choosing his strategy. I think Joshua will do well the second time around. He'll have a chance in the rematch," said Hunter, who has had the opportunity to fight Usyk in the past and lost on points.

A rematch of Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk should take place at the turn of spring and summer. The rematch is likely to take place in Great Britain.
