Scardina defeats Doberstein

Daniele Scardina (20-0, 16 KOs) stopped Juergen Doberstein (26-5-1, 7 KOs) to win the vacant WBO Intercontinental super middleweight belt. The fight was the main event of the Matchroom Boxing evening in Milan.

From the first gong the Italian set a high tempo and threw a lot of punches. The German went into a deep defence and was clearly not ready for such a fight. After three rounds, Doberstein was visibly tired and refused to continue the fight.

On the same evening, Francesco Patera (24-3, 9 KOs) and Davis Bosquiero (49-7-2, 22 KOs) fought for the WBO Intercontinental lightweight belt. The fight ended with a third-round TKO victory for Patera.
