Jesus Ramos (17-0, 14 KOs) defeated Brian Mendoza (19-2, 13 KOs) by unanimous decision in the main event of the evening of Premier Boxing Champions in Minneapolis. After ten rounds, all judges scored it 98-92 in favor of Ramos.
For the 23-year-old from Arizona, it was his debut at super welterweight and his third win this year.
At the same night, Starling Castillo (16-0, 12 KOs) picked up his next win as a pro with a full ten-round split decision over Juan Carlos Burgos (34-6-2, 21 KOs). After the final bell, the judges gave the win in Castillo's favor with scores of 98-92, 97-93 and 96-94.
