Pascal stripped of WBA title and suspended for six months

Jean Pascal (35-6-1, 20 KOs) was stripped of his regular WBA light heavyweight belt after being caught doping three times ahead of his failed bout against Badou Jack. The fight was supposed to take place on June 6 in Miami.

Pascal took tests on May 14, 17 and 28. All tests showed the presence of illegal drugs in his body. The Canadian was also disqualified for six months.

The last time the 38-year-old boxer fought was in December 2019. Now he will be able to return to the ring no earlier than the beginning of next year.
