Tim Tszyu (18-0, 14 KOs) and Steve Spark (12-1, 11 KOs) underwent an official weigh-in on the eve of their 12-round junior middleweight bout on July 7 at the Newcastle Entertainment Center, Australia. Tszyu's weight was 152.8 pounds (69.3 kg), Spark's - 153.6 pounds (69.67 kg). The boxing night in Australia will take place at paid broadcast on the Main Event, in the USA - on ESPN+ starting at approximately 7 am ET.

Prior to that, Spark spent most of his career in super lightweight, for the last fight he rose to welterweight, and before the fight with Tszyu showed his record career weight on the scales. Spark agreed to fight last Wednesday, replacing Michael Zerafa, who withdrew after the team's decision not to travel from Melbourne due to Australia's coronavirus restrictions.

Tszyu is currently the number one in the WBO rankings, although he is not a mandatory contender for the title, which is currently held by Argentine Brian Castano (17-0-1, 12 KOs). On July 17, Castano is set to face Jermell Charlo (34-1, 18 KOs), the reigning WBC, WBA and IBF champion. Tszyu's team intends to challenge the winner of this fight in the near future.
