Renowned British coach Peter Fury believes that mandatory contender for the WBO heavyweight title, Alexander Usyk should by no means be written off on the eve of the fight against WBA, WBO and IBF champion Anthony Joshua.
“Usyk's style is a challenge for any heavyweight. He is southpaw. Usyk is a good fighter. They are all good at this level, at the very top. They are all very, very good. And they know what reward is at stake.
"I want to make one thing clear to the public: people who come to training camp for 3-4 months follow the fighter for every second. What do you think is going on there? They are dedicated fighters who have the best team, the greatest finances, the best sparring partners.
"You will see their best performance as there is so much at stake. So all these battles will be serious and can end with any outcome. It makes boxing so interesting,” Peter Fury told Boxing Social on YouTube.
