The deadline set by the boxers' teams is April 12th. Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, is very active in negotiations about the location of the fight, and is convinced that the audience will know all the facts at the end of next week.
“The truth is that this deadline can be extended if both sides agree. The talks are very far advanced and should be clear by the end of next week. We will present several options and try to find the best one,” the head of Matchroom Boxing said.
The most serious candidate for organizing a duel of the two Britons is Saudi Arabia, where Joshua's rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr. took place more than a year ago. A stadium was built specifically for this occasion, which was deconstructed a few weeks later.
Both fighters have already started training for the first ever fight for four major heavyweight championship belts. At stake there will also be Fury's championship belt of The Ring magazine.
