In the main event of a boxing night in Dallas, Texas, the undefeated Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) scored KO seven round win over 2012 Olympic champion Luke Campbell (20-4, 16 KOs) to become the interim WBC lightweight champion. The outcome of the fight was decided by the left hook to the body, from which the British boxer could not recover. The time was 1:58.

In the second round, Garcia paid for his stance with his hands down and was knocked down after Campbell's left hand exactly to the chin. To Garcia's credit, he survived the first knockdown in his career with dignity, and by the end of the round he continued to attack his opponent.

It is worth noting that in his previous two defeats, Campbell went all distance with Jorge Linares and Vasyl Lomachenko.

In the ringside, Garcia was supported by Saul Alvarez, who shares one coach Eddie Reinoso with Ryan.

After the fight, Garcia challenged Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney.
