Diaz vs Rakhimov on February 20 in the USA

On February 20 the USA will host a fight for the IBF Super Featherweight Championship of Joseph Diaz Jr. (31-1, 15 KOs) and Shavkat Rakhimov (15-0, 12 KOs). The competition date for this duel has been set for Tuesday, but both sides have reached an agreement on their own.

Diaz has owned the International Boxing Federation belt since January when he defeated Tevin Farmer. The rematch was supposed to take place in the summer, but the contract for organizing the second fight has expired.

For Rakhimov, this will be the first chance to challenge the championship title in his career. The 26-year-old representative of Russia had his last professional fight in September last year, defeating Azinga Fuzile by TKO.
