Michaela Meyer (13-0, 5 KOs) defeated Helen Joseph (17-5-2, 10 KOs) by unanimous decision in the main event of Top Rank evening in Las Vegas. After ten rounds the judges scored it 99-91 and 100-90 twice in favor of the American.
The fight from the very first bell turned out to be one-sided. Meyer, 30, was definitely faster than her rival, and kept spinning her to the left. Mayer in the next fight may fight for the featherweight champion title.
At the same evening, lightweight Ruben Cerver defeated Clay Burns by unanimous decision. After six rounds, the judges scores were 58-56 twice and 59-54.
