Another death in pro boxing this week

Argentine boxer Hugo Alfredo Santillan died at the age of 23 as a result of injuries sustained during a professional boxing fight.

Santillan fought last weekend on the evening of boxing in Argentina in the 10-round fight for the WBC Latino Silver lightweight title against the Uruguayan Eduardo Javier Abreu. The bout was declared a draw. Santillan lost consciousness during the announcement of the decision and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save his life.

Last week was extremely tragic in professional boxing - the day before yesterday, as a result of a traumatic brain injury sustained in the fight, 28-year old Russian Maxim Dadashev died.
