Three-time Olympic champion Savon arrested on teen rape charges

Three-time Olympic boxing champion Felix Savon of Cuba is arrested on rape charges. It is noted that the 51-year-old Cuban was accused of raping a 12-year-old male. It is also reported that the former athlete is not accused of such a crime for the first time.

Savon is one of the three boxers who won the Olympic Games three times, a similar achievement was submitted only to his compatriot Teofilo Stevenson and Hungarian Laszlo Papp. Savon became the winner of the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, 1996 in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney in the weight category up to 91 kg, he also won gold medals at world championships five times.
