WBO Oriental lightweight belt holder Denys Berinchyk (9-0, 6 KOs) explained the difference between amateur and professional boxing and told when will be his next fight.

“Recently I reviewed my fights in the semifinals and in the final of the Olympic Games. I looked at the old mistakes, which was not enough for gold. I watched when it was hard, when there were injuries, what emotions were then,” Berinchyk said.

“After the transition to the pros everything has changed. As a profession, and gloves, tapes as well. And, of course, you can approach the fight monotonously and to prepare for a certain fight and a certain opponent for three or four months. In an amateur career this was not the case: every day you tune into a new opponent, because someone loses, someone wins. Even at the Olympic Games, I conceived and ordered myself, but three rivals have changed. The Olympic drum is a revolver in which different people shoot out and the strongest wins.”
