Davis destroys Cuellar

In the undercard of the boxing evening in Brooklyn, New York, Gervonta Davis (20-0, 19 KOs) scored a spectacular TKO victory in the third round over Jesus Cuellar (28-3, 21 KOs) and won the vacant WBA title in the super featherweight division.

In less than three rounds Cuellar was down three times and the meeting was stopped at 2:45.

For Davis this fight was the first under the leadership of the new coach Kevin Cunningham.

Last August Davis lost his IBF super featherweight title at the weigh-in. And after the fight against Cuellar he said that now he would like to regain his belt and hold a unification match against the winner of the meeting Tevin Farmer - Billy Dib.
