According to unconfirmed information, former world champion in two weight classes Danny Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) on February 17 in Las Vegas will meet former lightweight champion Brandon Rios (34-3-1, 25 KOs) . Their welterweight battle will become the main event of the evening at Showtime.

In his last fight this March Garcia lost via split decision to Keith Turman. Rios in his last outing in June knocked out Aaron Herrera. Prior to that Brandon had 19-months layoff.
