In the main event of the boxing evening in Wiesbaden, Germany, the Ukrainian heavyweight Victor Vykhrist (12-1, 8 KOs) got the better of Argentine Marcos Antonio Ahumada (25-12, 20 KOs) early.
Vykhrist confidently controlled the course of the confrontation and sent his opponent to the canvas twice in the second three-minute period. Ahumada decided to pick up the pace in the third segment, managing to disturb the Ukrainian with several unpleasant sweeping hits.
In the fourth round, the Argentine was knocked down again, but this time he spat out his mouth guard and refused to continue the fight.
Thus, 31-year-old Vykhrist won by technical knockout and closed last year’s defeat to Cuban Lenier Perot. Then the Ukrainian was forced to capitulate due to a shoulder injury.
