Garcia doubts Fury will fight Usyk on May 18

Famous American trainer Robert Garcia is not sure that the WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will have time to heal his cut before May 18, when he is scheduled to fight against the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF titles Alexandra Usika.

ā€œThis is a great fight because they will fight for the title of the absolute world heavyweight champion. We havenā€™t had something like this for a long time, so Iā€™m excited about this fight.

I think that if after such a cut we postpone the fight for a couple of months, then the time may not be enough. In the photographs I've seen, the cut looks quite large and deep. Therefore, I donā€™t know whether the cut will heal by May. But I hope we get to see this fight.

Boxing needs this fight, and even more so the heavyweight division. It's been a long time since we've had an absolute champion. IĀ think we need this fight,ā€ Garcia said in anĀ interview with the Boxing Social YouTube channel.
