Unified World Heavyweight Champion Alexander Usik commented on the cancellation of the fight with the WBC belt holder Tyson Fury, which was scheduled to take place on February 17th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

On Friday, the Briton received a cut in training and announced his withdrawal from the fight.

“How did I react to the fight being cancelled? My reaction is to just smile. I don’t know, I’ve been training. After the sparring, my team told me that Tyson received a reckoning. I just smiled and went back to training. But I’m ready to fight for the absolute at any time of the day or night

I would like to wish Fury that he recovers quickly. And so that everything goes well,” Usik said on The MMA Hour.

Let us remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury has already found a new date - the meeting will take place on May 18. The venue remains the same.
