Former Champ Predicts Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Outcome: "It's Not Even Close"

Mike Tyson will knock out Jake Paul in their upcoming boxing match, according to James 'Buster' Douglas. The man who famously upset Tyson in 1990 shared his prediction for the November 15 bout at AT&T; ...

Douglas, who was a 40/1 outsider when he knocked out Tyson in what's considered the biggest upset in heavyweight history, believes 'Iron Mike' will overwhelm the YouTuber-turned-boxer. In an interview with Gambling Zone, Douglas laid out his reasoning.

"Mike is going to be f******g relentless."

Douglas expects Tyson's relentless style and current form to be too much for Paul, who lacks experience against top-level opponents. The 58-year-old Tyson's body attack and the two-minute round format will also work in his favor, according to Douglas.

"I don't think there will be much of a boxing career left for Paul afterwards. I look at it like an easy win. It will be the easiest win of his career."

Despite his prediction, Douglas offered some advice to the 27-year-old Paul. He suggested Paul should immediately show Tyson he's a threat, keep his hands up, duck haymakers, and stay mobile. Douglas added that Paul's best-case scenario would be to last the entire fight.

Douglas knows firsthand what it's like to face Tyson as an underdog. In their 1990 bout, he controlled most of the action but found himself on the canvas in the eighth round from a Tyson uppercut. Douglas got up just before the ten count and was saved by the bell. He went on to knock Tyson down in the tenth round, securing his place in boxing history.

The upset remains one of the most shocking in sports history, but Douglas doesn't see lightning striking twice for Paul against Tyson. The match marks Tyson's return to professional boxing after nearly two decades away from the ring.
