Former Heavyweight Champ Reveals Surprising Pick for Tyson-Paul Bout: "I'd Bet Everything"

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will face off in a boxing match on November 15 at AT&T; stadium in Texas. The fight will be streamed live on Netflix, marking a new era for boxing broadcasts.

Former heavyweight champion Larry Holmes has weighed in on the bout. Holmes, known as "The Easton Assassin," feels confident that Tyson will come out on top.

"If Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul was a Las Vegas table game I'd be betting all my money on Iron Mike,"
Holmes told OLBG.

Holmes watched a recent training clip of Tyson and was impressed by what he saw. He warned that Paul should be ready for a tough fight.

"I watched a clip of Mike Tyson this morning and all I can say is Jake better be ready if he's going to fight Mike."

The age difference between the fighters is significant. At 58, Tyson will step into the ring with someone over thirty years younger. Despite this, Holmes believes Tyson's power and experience will trump Paul's youth and confidence.

Holmes pointed out Tyson's determination as a key factor.

"Mike Tyson doesn't care about anything. He'll fight you right now, even though he's not in any shape,"
Holmes said.
"And he's going to hit you, and when he does that, it's all over."

The former champ also addressed concerns about Tyson's stamina, saying:

"Mike will be able to last the two minute rounds."

Holmes advised Paul against trying to trade punches with Tyson, stating bluntly:

"And if this guy tries to trade punches with Mike, he loses."

Holmes and Tyson have a history in the ring. In 1988, Tyson knocked out Holmes in the fourth round, retaining his WBA, WBC, and IBF titles.

As the fight approaches, all eyes will be on how the 58-year-old Tyson performs against his much younger opponent. If Holmes' assessment is correct, Paul will need to bring his A-game to stand a chance against the legendary "Iron Mike."
