Denis Berinchik, the current WBO lightweight champion of the world, has decided to challenge Shakur Stevenson, the WBC lightweight champion of the world.
"Hey, Shakur. What's up, bro? I'm coming for you. Your belt is my belt," Berinchik said in a video he posted on his social media accounts.
Denis Berinchik won the lightweight championship belt by beating Emanuel Navarrete by split decision of the judges. Their confrontation took place on the morning of May 19. Berinchik was considered a clear underdog in this confrontation, but was able to create a mini-sensation.
