Top American lightweight Beneil Dariush said that recently his fight with the former interim champion had failed several times Dustin Poirier.
After these unsuccessful attempts, the promotion decided to give him a fight with Arman Tsarukyan, which will headline UFC on ESPN 52 on December 2 in Austin, USA.
“The fight with Poirier made more sense in terms of ratings, fame and everything in general. However, I believe that on paper Tsarukyan is the stronger fighter. He has better wrestling skills, is younger and more motivated.
If we talk about views, I would choose Poirier. But if we talk about which test is more difficult, I’ll name Tsarukyan,” MMA Weekly quotes the American as saying.
