Retired American mixed martial arts fighter, commentator and analyst Josh Thomson explained what made it possible for Fedor Emelianenko to dominate Pride.
"Fedor Emelianenko is not the biggest fighter, but he hasn't tried to lose weight. You want to know why? He knew he would beat everybody at heavyweight, that's why he had such a successful career, because he knew he had the ability to do sub-missions from his back. He knew he had a powerful grandstander, he knew he had dynamites in his hands, but he wasn't a big heavyweight," Thomson said on the Weighing In podcast.
