Alex Pereira, a former UFC middleweight champion, said in a recent interview that he expects to fight for the promotion's light heavyweight title by the end of this year.
“The UFC is happy with my performances, the public likes my fights. I am sure that I will fight for the belt until the end of the year...,” said the Brazilian.
Pereira has already made his light heavyweight debut with an important win. He won by split decision against Jan Blachowicz, the former champion of the organization in this division.
