The first positive doping test of Alvarez was taken on February 17, so his disqualification ends on August 17.
Saul Alvarez did not pay any fines for this incident.
Less than an hour after the Commission's decision, Golden Boy Promotions, the Mexican's promoters, announced that the next Alvarez fight would be on September 15, presumably in Las Vegas. On September 16 falls Independence Day of Mexico, and perhaps the organizers will try for the second time to make a rematch on this date with Gennady Golovkin, with whom Saul was supposed to fight on May 5.
