Javier Mendez, head coach of the AKA gym, spoke about the possible return of his ward, the former UFC lightweight champion, to the Octagon Khabib Nurmagomedova.
“Until now, Khabib’s word was a guarantee - he never broke it! When he said he was leaving, he did so. The only thing he said was that he would not be seconding the fighters for now. But he still trains the guys whenever he’s around. Khabib just wants to spend time with his family. He doesn't want his children to grow up next to him. He said so, and he keeps his word. For those who think Khabib will return: please don't! Perhaps in the future we will see him as a second in the corner. But now everything is exactly as it is. What if they offer $100 million? Khabib always talked about his legacy; money is not important to him,” the specialist said.
