UFC middleweight Roman Dolidze assessed the prospects of Alex Pereira, UFC light heavyweight champion, in this division. According to Dolidze, the Brazilian will have great difficulties.
“He doesn’t have a good fight as such. If guys fight him and make him struggle, he'll be in trouble. It is impossible to predict this. Even if you take our division, you will see how often champions change over the last year and a half, and the guys cannot defend the belt. There was Alex Pereira, then Adesanya, then Strickland and now Du Plessis. I think Pereira will have great difficulties in the light heavyweight division,” Dolidze said.
Let us remember that Pereira previously hinted that he could rise to heavyweight in order to win the championship belt in the third weight category.
