Famed Venezuelan veteran Jorge Linares weighed in on the chances of absolute world middleweight champion Saul Alvarez and Jaime Munguia in their upcoming fight.
"It's a great fight. I give 60 percent for Canelo to win and 40 percent for his opponent to win. Munguia is a great and strong fighter, but he doesn't have the potential that Saul has. Alvarez has everything. Munguia is big and strong, but he's not great in the ring.
So we'll see. I think this fight could probably come down to a judges decision. I think Canelo will win on points," Linares said in an interview with YouTube channel Fight Hook News.

WBA light heavyweight titleholder Hilberto Ramirez shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight of absolute world champion in the second middleweight division Saul Alvarez vs Jaime Munguia.
"It's an interesting fight. For me, it has a 50/50 chance in it because Munguia will have a chance that night, the opportunity of a lifetime to become the absolute world champion. Canelo needs to work hard to stay the absolute champion and beat him.
Who would I put my money on? I don't like betting. I don't like betting, and that's a good thing. As a fan I want to see this fight," Ramirez said in an interview with YouTube channel Fight Hype.

Oscar Valdez, former world champion in two weight classes, shared his opinion on the upcoming fight between absolute world super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez and Jaime Munguia.
"I'm happy because both boxers represent Mexico. I'm happy for Jaime. People think Jaime is an easy outing for Canelo. No, he's tough. He has heart. But I still have confidence in Canelo winning because I see how he trains, what advantages and talent he has. Canelo is one of the hardest working fighters. I've seen him fight on Saturday, rest on Sunday and be back in the gym by Monday. That speaks volumes about what kind of fighter he is, especially considering he has everything. He trains all the time and that's a big part of the reason I admire him so much," BoxingScene quoted Valdes as saying.
