Famous British promoter Eddie Hearn was dissatisfied with the judges' decision in the fight of the new absolute world champion in light heavyweight Artur Beterbiev against Dmitry Bivol.
"I mean no disrespect to Beterbiev, they are two great fighters of our generation, but you saw the body language of his team. They stood in the corner and realized they lost this fight. 116-112 in favor of Artur Beterbiev. You gave Bivol four rounds. It's a complete mockery. It was 7-5 or 8-4 in favor of Bivol. He was relaxed in this fight. Bivol gave some rounds in the end, but he won. Beterbiev's team knew they lost the fight.
They were telling him in his corner that he had to knock out Bivol to win. I can't believe it. Today from Bivol stole the title of absolute world champion," said Hearn.
Recall that Beterbiev defeated Bivol by majority decision of the judges and won the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division.
