On May 18 in the main event of the evening of boxing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Usyk defeated Fury by a split decision of judges. Thus, the Ukrainian added the WBC championship belt to the WBA, WBO, IBF titles, becoming the first absolute heavyweight champion since 1999.
