Sandhagen assessed the chances of a fight with Nurmagomedov

Top American fighter in the UFC bantamweight division Corey Sandhagen stated that at this stage of his career he is not interested in a fight with Umar Nurmagomedov.

Let us remind you that the meeting between these fighters was supposed to take place in early August at the UFC on ESPN 50 tournament, but Umar dropped out due to injury. Sandhagen ended up fighting Rob Font, winning by unanimous decision.

“We can say that he is not to blame for the breakdown of the battle. I then agreed to take another fight because I couldn’t fight the number one contender. After that I got the better of another, really tough opponent. I was injured in the first round, but I still dominated.

Now I don’t see our fight with Umar. I think he needs one or two more wins to meet me,” BJ Penn quotes Sandhagen.
